Hip HopHip Hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music but now encompassing a wider genre. The origins of this style included breaking, locking, and popping which were created on the streets in the 1970s, then made popular by dance crews in the United States. The dance industry responded by commercializing the style and it now reigns in Pop Culture.
